Lucy-Liu

Lucy Liu, an American voice actress, director, as well as a talented actress. Beautiful, intelligent and gifted actress, she is an example to Asian actors who want to become big names in Hollywood. In the wake of a number of first appearances in some popular series she achieved fame when she joined the crew of the cult comedy show Ally McBeal where she played the sly Ling Woo. After her success, she landed major roles for her in Shanghai Noon (1998) and Charlie's Angels (2000). She then delivered a superlative performance as Japanese criminal O-Ren Ishii in the Quentin Tarantino film Kill Bill Volume 1. At the same time her role as an actor in films that failed at the box office such as Rise: Blood Hunter were also prominent. In the following years, she started voicing characters from animated films like Kung Fu Panda or Tinker Bell. Mia Mason's role on the small screen on Cashmere Mafia did not produce anything of note. Southland is a critically-acclaimed series of police dramas that had Liu playing recurring roles, helped her reestablish her as an actress. Liu selects her roles carefully so that she doesn't get cast in an industry that is competitive. Liu has accepted her Chinese roots but she doesn't allow it to hinder her creative abilities.
