Sara Lynn Evans, born on February 5, 1971 in New Franklin Missouri was raised as the oldest child from seven brothers. Sara Lynn Evans was singing in the family band since she was five years old. The singer began her professional career at the age of sixteen when she sang in the club in Columbia Missouri for two years. In 1991 she relocated from Missouri to Nashville Tennessee, with the aim of becoming an artist in country music. Sara was seen singing Tiger By the Tail by Harlan Howard at County Q Studios. Harlan Howard then determined that Sara could sing the song. She signed a contract with RCA. In 1997 Evans released her first album Three Chords and the Truth. The album was praised by critics for making a return to traditional country, and included it on a number of their top 10 of the year lists.
