Dolly-Parton
Dolly Parton was born on the 19th January, 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn. She lived alongside 12 other kids. Her vivid imagination helped her escape from the pressures of daily life. Her songs were written before she could write and read. Within 8 years she had her very first guitar. In the age of 11 she started singing at the Knoxville Tennessee radio station. Gold Band Records is a tiny, independent label. The singer established a name on the local circuit while in high school but she wanted to perform on a larger stage. The day she graduated from high school, in 1964. Dumb Blonde was her first album to be charted for the first time on Monument Records. At about this time Porter Wagoner was looking for the next girl to perform on the show he had syndicated to television. Parton became a member of Grand Ole Opry 1969 after contracting with RCA Records. The year 1974 was the first that she opted to walk away from Wagoner's show because the success of her individual records like Joshua Coat, Many Colors, and Jolene exceeded their collective efforts. Parton, after the split of their relationship with Wagoner she wrote the song"I'll Always Be Loved" by You and saw it climb to No. In 1974, the song by Parton I Will Always Love You climbed to No.
