April Ross

April Ross, a beach volleyball player American She is one of a small group of women who have been awarded medals at multiple Olympics. Alix Klineman is the newest Olympian and is set to join her at Tokyo. Ross will also be hoping for her very first Olympic medal. Perhaps this is her only chance, at 39 years old. Her confidence is high but she is not sure. If we do our top or play well I feel like we'll win the gold medal Ross stated on NBC Boston. Therefore, I'm hoping to have some luck also. Ross was born in 1982 in Costa Mesa California where she lived with her parents as well as a sister. At Newport Harbor High School, she played in a variety of sports. Apart from playing indoor volleyball, she also was a basketball player and also ran track in her pre-college days. She stood out however at this level. When she played in her college volleyball season in her university biography she played as an outside-hitter, middle-blocker and setter. She was named by the Gatorade National Circle of Champions player of the year in 1999 for her achievements. She also received her the Orange County Athlete of the Year award in volleyball. While Ross Klineman and Ross have been doing their thing since 2017, the former had already been a major athlete on the beach long before their pairing. In fact, she won numerous major events in the past with two different partners. one of which is the volleyball legend. Jennifer Kessy was her partner for six years, between 2007 and 2013. She also coached Klineman and herself. Together, Kessy Ross was a force on the international stage, claiming a world title in 2009. In the 2012 Olympic Games, they were awarded a gold medal. Misty May, Kerri Walsh and Kerri Jennings were the group to beat for the gold. Ross Jennings was Walsh Jennings partner in fate after Maytreanor's retirement. Together, they won beach volleyball bronze for the Rio Olympics in the year the year 2016. Ross was a player for the USC Trojans in the college years following her graduation from high school. Her time at USC was a memorable one. In 2000, she was voted Pac-10 Freshman of the Year and NCAA Freshman of the Year, and was also an All-American. Additionally, she assisted her Trojans get to the Final Four. She suffered a devastating personal loss in her sophomore year, but she still repeated her place as an All-American. Over the course of the two years she played for the Trojans they helped win consecutive championships. She was a fantastic volleyball player and won the Honda Sports Award in 2003-04 as the best female volleyball player at the college level. Ross majored in international relations at USC. Margie Ross did not get to witness Ross become the highest beach volleyball stage. Ross's mom passed away due to breast cancer when she was a sophomore in USC. This meant that Ross is still close to her deceased parent. In addition, Margie continues to be an inspiration to her on the beach and in her daily life.
