Anna Paquin
Anna Paquin is a Canadian and New Zealand actress. Paquin, born in Winnipeg and raised by Wellington Paquin's acting debut was in the role of Flora McGrath. For this role she received the Academy Award of Best Supporting Actress in the romantic comedy The Piano at the young age of eleven. The actress is second youngest winner in Oscar the history of Oscars. After an audition Flora McGrath was cast as the daughter a Scottish musician. Flora McGrath is the child of a mute Scottish musician who came from Scotland to New Zealand to marry in the 19th century. She moved to the United States as a teen. Paquin was cast as the child title in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre in the year 1996. She also played an important role as a lead character in Fly Away Home, a film that was released in that same year. Paquin was the character Frankie Addams as a child in the 1996 television version of Carson McCullers novel The Member of the Wedding. Paquin played Queen of Spain, in Steven Spielbergs 1997 feature film Amistad. The actress played teens in the films of Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000), A Walk on the Moon (2000) and portrayed the polexia Aphrodisa girl as part of Almost Famous (2000).
