Deepika Padukone
Deepika Padukone (pronounced [di:pIka p@dUko:ne (pronounced [pa:dUkoborn 5 January 1986) is an Indian actress who works predominantly in Hindi films. She is one of the actresses with the highest salaries in India And her awards include three Filmfare Awards. In lists of some of America's top celebrities; Time named her one of the 100 most influential people in the world in the year 2018 and gave her The TIME100 Impact Award in 2022. Padukone had the honor of being the youngest daughter to Badminton's champion Prakash Padukone. Padukone was born in and grew up in Bangalore. As a teenager she competed in badminton championships, including national competitions. She later quit her career in the sport to pursue a new one as a fashion designer. Soon, she began receiving requests to perform in movies and her first acting job was playing Aishwarya the Kannada protagonist. Padukone then played the dual part of Shah Rukh Khan opposite her in Om Shanti Om (2007) Her debut Bollywood release. The film was awarded Padukone her the Filmfare Award Best Female Debut. Padukone's starring role as the lead in Love Aaj Kal was well liked, but it was followed shortly by a setback that was unfortunate.
